Digital Video Recorders are the latest state of the art for recording video. The previous method of video recording was saved on a VHS tape. There were many problems associated with this type of tape recording ie. forgetting to install a tape in the recorder, tapes breaking and jamming the recorder, recorded videos deteriorate after a period of time, recorded video overwrites itself etc.
When you install a Digital Video Recorder, you can remotely view this recorder from anywhere if you have access to the Internet, you have the option of purchasing a Windows based system or an embedded system. You have a choice of the size of the hard drive, from 160gb to .09 terabyte, you have a choice of saving your videos to a CD-RW or memory stick. the choices are endless.
